The bus number provided may be wrong as I may have remembered it completely wrongly but I don't think it will be difficult to track down the bus captain who did not stop at the busstop when I was hailing for the bus to stop. It was around 0800am in the morning at the very first bus stop along Mountbatten Road, travelling in the direction from the East to the CBD. The bus captain was an Indian in a blue turban.
A bus no. 12 had pulled into the bus bay at that time when I had just gotten out of the car and run to the busstop. When I had reached the busstop, Bus 196 was still about 25-30m away which obviously is still a good distance away. But my guess is the captain probably had just glanced at the busstop for a while from THAT DISTANCE before I reached the busstop, saw that no one was there and had no doubts about just bypassing the busstop!!! I had to hop into my car transport again and CHASE the bus further down Mountbatten in order to be able to board.
This has not happened the first time and I always see such a scenario occurring to other people too. I wished that the drivers would cast a wider angle of vision and not assume that they are able to judge if there are any passengers at the busstop waiting from such a distance!
Another pressing issue is how buses have spaces for more passengers to board but they just conveniently bypass them when they do not wish to wait for passengers in the bus to slowly inch to the back of the bus while allowing more commuters to board. In the morning peak hours, everybody is rushing to work. Even allowing 1 to 2 passengers to board makes a whole lot of difference.
I find this utterly ridiculous and wish that SBS would put their foot down on such irresponsible acts by your captains which contributes to the distress and stress of us fellow commuters.
Have always wanted to do this for the longest time but because of the hassle, I chose to ignore and let it go. Today was the last straw that I even squeezed some time out of busybusy work to do a quick and clumsy letter!!! Add the motivation when challenged by the mummy who said "I bet you won't bother to do it as usual".
THERE MUMMY. I DID IT.

I'm shocked. The above showcase many of the symptoms I suffered during my NTU years. HAHA. or at least at the start of my 3-year stay.
